Stuck at the campground?

We come to you. No need to pack up your rig or wait weeks at a dealership repair shop.

Dealing with an RV breakdown or trying to arrange a pre-purchase checkup shouldn't mean wasting weeks of your time waiting on a dealership service slot. Hauling a fifth wheel or travel trailer across the highway just for a basic appliance fix or diagnostic check can turn into a major logistical headache.

Family RV Inspection & Mobile Repair eliminates the towing hassle by bringing a fully equipped service truck and expert diagnostic capabilities straight to you in Hillsboro. Whether your rig is currently parked at a local campground like Pecan Creek RV Park or Cottonwood Creek RV Park, sitting in a residential driveway, stored at a lot, or deployed on a commercial job site, we save your time and your budget by handling repairs and safety audits right on the spot.

From fixing air conditioners that blow warm in the Texas heat to resolving complex multi-volt electrical shorts, plumbing leaks, and stuck slide-out rooms, we focus entirely on the coach and living systems of your trailer or fifth wheel. Our goal is to provide fast, reliable on-site results so you can spend less time worrying about logistics and more time enjoying your investment in Hillsboro.

Mobile RV Service in Hillsboro and Along the I-35 Corridor

Hillsboro sits on Interstate 35 where I-35E and I-35W come together, under an hour south of the DFW Metroplex and about 35 minutes north of Waco. That junction makes it one of the busiest pieces of RV road in Central Texas — a lot of rigs pass through Hillsboro that never planned to stop here.

We service Pecan Creek RV Park, Cottonwood Creek RV Park and Hill Side RV Park on site. Pecan Creek sits just off I-35 on 22 acres of shaded full-hookup sites, roughly 30 miles from both Waco and DFW. Cottonwood Creek runs 30 and 50 amp full hookups a few minutes out of town, about 20 miles from Lake Whitney. Hill Side sits on flatter, more open ground with scattered trees.

Lake Whitney is about 20 minutes west, which puts all of this within easy reach of our dispatch point.

Interstate miles are hard on a rig in specific ways: sustained highway heat, vibration working fasteners loose, wind load on slide seals and awnings. Those faults tend to surface at the end of a long run rather than the start — which is to say, they surface at the campground, not the driveway.

We come to wherever the rig stopped.

Hillsboro sits where I-35 splits toward Fort Worth and Dallas, which is why so much of its RV traffic is passing through rather than settling in. The old outlet mall on the frontage road is being demolished and rebuilt as a retail and restaurant development, so the stopping traffic is not going anywhere. For a traveler that split is a decision point, and it is the last comfortable place to deal with a fault before committing to either metro. A slide that will not close, or an air conditioner that has quit, is a far smaller problem solved in Hillsboro than discovered ninety minutes later in Dallas traffic.

Answers to your questions

RV service in Hillsboro — common questions

Practical answers about getting a rig serviced in and around Hillsboro. If yours is not here, call or text (254) 580-3929.

Which Hillsboro parks do you cover?

Pecan Creek RV Park, Cottonwood Creek RV Park and Hill Side RV Park, all on site.

I am passing through on I-35 and something has failed. Can you come to the park?

Yes, and that is the common call here. Hillsboro sits on the I-35 corridor, so a lot of the work is travelers who need a fault cleared before they carry on rather than owners settling in for a season.

Can you look at an air conditioner that is cooling, but not well?

Yes. Partial cooling is worth catching early — it usually means a failing capacitor, a restricted return, or a coil starting to ice. Left alone through a Texas summer, all three end the same way.
