“Jason came out and diagnosed my main issue and fixed a number of other issues I was having. Prices are very fair. Will definitely be using him in the future. Thank you Jason!”

Mobile RV Service in Hico and Hamilton County

Hico sits in northeastern Hamilton County at the junction of US-281 and State Highways 6 and 220, on the North Bosque River. It is the far western edge of our service area, and we cover it.

The town is small — around 1,500 people — but it draws well above its size. The limestone-studded Bosque River runs along the south end of downtown, the Billy the Kid statue stands at the north end, and the square pulls weekend traffic from the metro consistently enough that Hico is a genuine destination rather than a place you drive through.

For RV owners that means two things. Most rigs here on a given weekend belong to visitors, parked on ranch land or small private sites rather than in a full-service resort with a maintenance office. And help is genuinely far away — Hamilton County has no dealership row, and the nearest service bays are a long tow in any direction.

That distance is the whole argument for mobile service, and for inspecting before you leave rather than after something fails. A propane or electrical fault is an inconvenience at a staffed park. On a back road in Hamilton County it is a different kind of problem entirely.

The town does have RV spaces of its own. Hico City Park covers roughly 43 acres along both sides of the Bosque River and includes RV sites alongside covered pavilions, ball fields, more than a mile of paved trail and a spray park. It is a municipal park rather than a resort, which means no maintenance office and no service contractor on call — the amenities are for people, not for rigs. That is the practical gap we fill out here, and it is the same gap on every ranch and private site across Hamilton County.

Answers to your questions

RV service in Hico — common questions

Practical answers about getting a rig serviced in and around Hico. If yours is not here, call or text (254) 580-3929.

Is Hico actually in your service area?

Yes. Hico is the far western edge of what we cover, in northeastern Hamilton County, and we do run out there.

My rig is on ranch land, not at a park. Is that a problem?

No — that is normal here. Most rigs around Hico sit on ranch land or small private sites rather than at a full-service resort, and we come to the property.

How far is the nearest service bay if something fails out here?

Far enough that it is the whole argument for mobile service. Hamilton County has no dealership row, and the nearest bays are a long tow in any direction — which is why inspecting before you leave beats reacting after.
